Rather thanheading to thebeach
for springbreak,March17-21,
manyBSC students participated
in intensiveweeklongpublic
service experiences inBoston and
D.C. One group served inmission
facilities and volunteered for a
financial literacyprogram inBoston
to gain adeeper understanding
of the influence and impacts of
homelessness aswell as theways
inwhich the city addresses the
problem. Another team traveled
toD.C. to serve in foodbanks, visit
nonprofit advocacy agencies, and
explorepublic policies in a seminar
program.
