    Sociology – Success Stories

Recent BSC sociology graduates have gone on to careers in education, law enforcement, and non-profit management as well as Master in Social Work (MSW) and Master of Public Health (MPH) programs.

A few examples of graduate programs that BSC sociology students have attended:

    • University of New Hampshire, Master in Sociology
    • The University of Alabama, Master in Social Work Program
    • Columbia University, Master of Public Health
    • Samford University, Cumberland School of Law
    • The University of Chicago, Master in Social Work Program
    • The University of Iowa, Doctorate of Biostatistics

While I was a student at BSC, I knew that my professors were invested in my success. My professors went above and beyond to help me with my studies and other academic endeavors. They challenged my way of thinking, expanded my academic limits, and always encouraged me to ask questions. I graduated BSC with a deep understanding of how social institutions perpetuate inequality, strong critical thinking skills, ideas on how to address social issues, a network of individuals in helping professions, and with the confidence and communication skills to address social injustices. I am currently pursuing a Masters in Social Work degree and I often use the knowledge I learned from BSC in my classes and internships. The kindness and dedication that the professors at BSC give their students are what makes this school one of a kind.
