How do I know if I am on track as a candidate for a degree in May?

By this time, you should have had at least one meeting with Professor Kim Lewis, the college's Degree Audit Specialist. It is a good idea to have another "graduation check" early in Spring Term. You can make an appointment by calling (205) 226-4672 or emailing klewis@bsc.edu. A list of POTENTIAL candidates for degree will be posted on the Office of Records page of the BSC website (www.bsc.edu/records/index.cfm) by May 8, 2017.

It is your responsibility to check with the Library and the Bursar's Office regarding your account. Taking care of this early will ensure that you will be able to receive your diploma.

Diplomas for graduating seniors are ordered only in the spring. If you complete your requirements before the spring term, you will not receive your diploma until Commencement.

How will my name read on my diploma?

The "Application for Degree" form asks for your name "as you want it listed on your diploma." This form is available online. If you want a Jr., II, III, etc., on your diploma, it must be noted on this form or it will be left off.
