Future Residents
The Housing Application is available each year by in late March, found online by clicking here. We ask that all applications be completed by as soon as possible after submitting your deposit, with priority given for those submitted by May 15th. You will receive information to your BSC email with directions on how to submit your application.
As a first-year student, you will be matched with a roommate in one of our first-year halls. Our detailed application helps us match you with someone who has similar interests, habits, and desires. Our process has proven to be very successful in matching students and building lifelong friendships. Not knowing your roommate may seem overwhelming at first, but it's a great way to make new friends, get involved in new activities, and find your place at 'Southern.

The Housing Selection Process
The Housing Selection Process will work in two steps - 1) the application and Housing Agreement and 2) the room/suite selection. All two steps occur online through the Housing Portal. This allows students to complete the Housing Application online over a published period of time. The final step of the process is the actual room selection that will occur at times published well in advance to students to avoid conflicts with academic, student life, and personal responsibilities.
The Housing Selection Process takes places in the Spring semester each year. More details and dates regarding the Housing Selection Process will be shared via the student’s BSC e-mail account.
